Our main beneficiaries are 8th grade and 10th grade students in Florida’s public, alternative, and charter schools. Florida’s 8th graders need to pass the writing benchmark to prove high school readiness and, likewise, sophomores must pass the writing benchmark to graduate. Other beneficiaries include ESOL students (English as a second language), and juniors and seniors who have failed to meet the benchmark requirement in 10th grade.
