How You Can Help
Operation Empowerment, Inc. needs help in many ways. From fundraising, to tutoring, to helping design virtual
programming, we need volunteers with skills of all levels.
- Currently we need volunteers to help develop materials for our Rx Reader
project.
We tailor-make our reading programs to a school’s reading curriculum, helping struggling readers with comprehension,
context clues, and other skills important to effective reading. If you enjoy reading and would like to learn
how to develop reading curriculum for students, please contact Leigh Lomax at (813) 810-7063 for more information.
- Additionally, we need volunteers to help with our new, conversational English program.
If you are tech-savvy and enjoy live audio and video online, you will love volunteering for this program. We
need bi-lingual volunteers as well as volunteers to tutor our students in pronunciation, sentence formation and
vocabulary. This program is new, fun and exciting. Be part of the technical revolution in education; meet
new people and make new friends at the same time. You won’t even need to leave your house!
- Fundraising is always in need. We rely on volunteers, fundraisers,
donations and grants to provide these much-needed services to schools in our area. If you would like to have
a fundraiser at your school or organization, please contact us to set it up. We will assist and partner with
you in any way to help raise the funds needed for the continuation of the valuable work we do.
Through volunteering, you can make new friends, learn new job skills, network with people of like interests and
give of yourself in ways you never thought possible. Operation Empowerment welcomes and appreciates any service
you may be able to provide to our students.
